Spread The Word Contest

Ok everyone here is a little contest to spread the word about your favorite blog. What I would like is for all my readers to send a email out to everyone they know w/a working link to my blog. Something like check out this killer blog at www.bustedwrench.blogspot.com. Include the email address tshirt@gmx.com that is me; I will then count all the email addresses from the email. The one with the most recipients will win a value t shirt from my cafe press store. If you would like to put the number of people you sent the email to in the email to save me some counting that would be fine. I will still double check but it will make things easier.
A quick note to my wonderful co workers, who have been immensely supportive of my blog , lets not send emails to each other. We all know about the blog and we will just clutter up each others email accounts. Other than that its game on, anyone and everyone is welcome to play and is fair game. If you happen to know someone famous and include them in the email, point it out to me,and if I am suitably impressed I may give out a prize for that also.
This little contest will run until midnight November 3rd. A week from today.
Now for the disclaimers. I can't count so I won't be held responsible for miscounts, I will do my best. Also I highly recommend adding the final count to the email as I have no idea how many addresses will be displayed by my email account. I am also not responsible for lost or misdirected emails or emails that disappear into the depths of Internet hell, it happens and its not my fault:) Lastly, the email addresses will not be stored, sold, or spammed by me. You have my word I will count them then delete them. They will never hear from me or anyone associated w/me. Good luck and have fun!!!!!
Now, if you are a hermit like me and don't have a large contact list, you can just bypass the whole contest thing and get your shirt here...... www.cafepress.com/bustedwrench . Happy Emailing and good luck!

Home Security 101

With the attempted break in of the previous week I thought I would share some basic philosophies on home security. Somewhere I read once that good home security was made up in layers and I whole heartily agreed and have maintained that belief ever since.

A well built and installed door lock. Yes the jamb is shattered but whoever attempted to break in spent 5 solid minutes kicking at this door and it held.

The second layer of security is 110lbs of pit bulls. You can't beat them for fearlessness and loyalty. Ginger is the small tan one at 40 lbs and about 8% body fat the rest is muscle and teeth. The dark one is Debo 70 lbs of loyalty. He may not know what he is biting but if his sister is biting it its good enough for him.

And finally if all else fails the Ruger in .40 cal will do the trick.
Notice nowhere in my home security system is the phrase "dials 911". Lets face it the police are out numbered under paid and out gunned. Take care of yourself. However, at some point it will be necessary to call 911, who else is going to remove the body?

Joke Of The Whenever......

Now don't get me wrong I love the Marines. There is no better group of people but this is a good joke at their expense....

  • On some air bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle. One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, "What time is it?" The tower responded, "Who is calling?" The aircraft replied, "What difference does it make?" The tower replied, "It makes a lot of difference. If it is an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o'clock. If it is an Air Force plane, it is 1500 hours. If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells. If it is an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3. If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, it's Thursday afternoon."

Don't Forget To Donate...the sanity you save may be mine.

Have You Ever.............

Have you ever just been sitting around bored and typed random words into the google image search?.........Oh, its just me that does this.....this is awkward. Well anyway if you are ever sitting around waiting for the Prozac to kick in or the tequila to wear off depending where you are in the whole cycle of things give it a try sometime. I'm not even going to tell you the words that turned up this image

Welcome to the FFR!!!!

That's right the FFR the final frame rant. You guessed it after a short 7 weeks the frame is safely in my possession and is currently getting to know its power plant. I filed the aforementioned dispute at Ebay and left the seller negative feedback. So today he leaves me a nasty voice mail which is fine the message I left him yesterday wasn't any better. So after a brief conversation where he showed how little he knows about customer service, by serving up little jewels like telling me I am not the center of his universe and if the frame got lost in shipping it wasn't his problem and he did exactly what he was supposed to do, he gave me the tracking number and the number to the pack and ship store he uses to ship his frames. I called the shipping store and it turns out the frame was shipped to my billing address which is not the correct location. It is a vacant house. Well the rocket scientist of a ups man left the frame on a carport at a house w/no curtains on the windows, no furniture inside and a for rent sign in the yard. By some miracle my frame was indeed sitting on a carport in that shitty neighborhood for 10 days untouched. So on a final note of reality an honest mistake is a honest mistake but shipping a product 5 weeks late to the wrong location is not doing exactly what you were supposed to do by any stretch of the imagination.
Now onto the baby pictures
Look at that butt...Now that's PHAT!
And the two kids getting to know each other better......
Please for give the background in some of the pictures, like the vacuum and such but remember, I am in fact building this in my roommates living room:)

Frame Update

Well two more unanswered calls to frame guy today. Ebay only lets you file a dispute for 60 days after the purchase so I went ahead and did it now. Fifty days into a 14 day deal I figured I better do it while I could. Disputes automatically close after 90 days whether you get satisfaction or not and the person you have the dispute against has 10 days to respond to every email so 90 days go by quick. And of course there is no guarantee you will even get your money back or in my case ever get your product.
So here's a big F.U. to the loser at Red Barron Choppers!

That's right, the cat is out of the bag! The useless turd I bought the frame from is Danial(yes with an a) Howe at Red Barron Choppers.com a.k.a. choppergods.com a.k.a. danial howe creations. How is it that a legitimate business that doesn't screw its customers needs 3 different business names and several different ebay identities?

More on this later, but now I am off to every single chopper forum, custom bike forum, after market parts forum and message board and every other outlet I can find, and get a link to this blog out there. Building the bike has now become my secondary objective. The first being to run this useless little shit bird right out of business.

Maybe I will go to the library and get myself a few extra ebay identities and make sure I am the high bidder on every single thing this jerk off is selling on ebay. Maybe then he will have enough spare time to get my frame to me.....hmm I like that idea, gotta go.

Week Six Update

That's right people, it has now been six weeks since I paid for my frame. You remember my frame right? The frame that was supposed to ship in two weeks four weeks ago. The update is there is no update. We have hit strange and unnerving territory. For the first time in six weeks of dealing with this knob I didn't get a callback. Every other time I called him he either answered or called back in 10 minutes or less. Today nothing.

It's very hard to write a blog about the construction of a motorcycle when you only have 2 parts for said motorcycle. And you only really know where 1 of them is. I can't wait to get this resolved so I can divulge the name of this loser business and begin my new hobby of ruining his business by any means possible. Stay tuned for further updates as we now begin to call every day until we reach resolution. Until then...Dan this ones for you!!
