Christmas Nuts

Christmas around my house when I was a child was a time of special things. One of those things was the bowl of nuts. It was the only time of the year when the nut crackers and that little metal pick thingy ever saw the light of day. It was also the only time walnuts, pecans and all the other nuts made their appearance in Mom's big glass dish. Since we only saw them at Christmas time we called them Christmas Nuts.
